Located near the Ningxia Night Market, I passed by after 7 o'clock on a Sunday and found many people queuing up, so I simply came in to have a dessert; the shop assistants are all aunties, very kind and lovely, and they are also very polite to the delivery people.
The signature here seems to be the bean curd and almond tea series. The store specifically states that the bean curd has a burnt aroma. If you like it, you can try it. I came here for the almond tea~~
Almond tea (hot) $40
Almond tea is very hot. I let it cool for about five minutes before drinking it directly. However, almond tea needs to be scalded to feel comfortable.
The almond tea tastes quite strong, with a lot of residue. It doesn’t feel like it’s made with almond powder. It’s a joy to have a bowl on a cold day. It’s only $40 for a big bowl. I personally think it’s a great value.
Red bean glutinous rice balls$60
The glutinous rice balls are on the small side, mostly white glutinous rice balls with a few pink glutinous rice balls mixed in. They taste soft and the portion is ok; the red bean soup is relatively clear, not too sweet, and has a lot of red beans.
Overall, the desserts here are both hot and iced. The prices are pretty affordable and the taste is not bad. They also sell some special items such as almond milk jelly and almond powder round tea. Come back for some in the summer. !
