First time visiting an unstaffed bakery 😌
📍 Hashimoto Lumber Bread Specialty Shop
This one is in Dadu, and there's another one in Wuri.
After some research, I found that besides these two locations, the shop occasionally appears at night markets. In the future, if I have the chance, I might buy from them again!
The reason I would want to buy again is that lumber bread is really rare now 🥺
The taste can't be called top-notch, but for me, it’s full of memories.
The shop has a lot of flavors!
However, the store only has indoor air conditioning and no staff on duty, plus the weather is really hot in summer…
Although the shop does come to change and check daily, you really need to check the bread you purchase carefully! (I noticed some breads seemed to have mold on them)
Without any staff watching, I can leisurely browse 😆
Selecting, calculating prices, and checking out, all by myself!
(But there are still cameras in the store)
In the end, I chose original grape, matcha red bean, and taro milk flavors.
The matcha and taro flavors were so distinct they were a bit strange, while the original flavor was relatively normal. However, it wasn't the kind of lumber bread from my memories that became more fragrant the more you chewed; in terms of texture, it was quite similar.
Considering the convenience of being unstaffed and self-service, I think it’s pretty good!
