First time visiting an unstaffed bakery 😌

📍 Hashimoto Lumber Bread Specialty Shop
This one is in Dadu, and there's another one in Wuri.
After some research, I found that besides these two locations, the shop occasionally appears at night markets. In the future, if I have the chance, I might buy from them again!

The reason I would want to buy again is that lumber bread is really rare now 🥺
The taste can't be called top-notch, but for me, it’s full of memories.

The shop has a lot of flavors!
However, the store only has indoor air conditioning and no staff on duty, plus the weather is really hot in summer…
Although the shop does come to change and check daily, you really need to check the bread you purchase carefully! (I noticed some breads seemed to have mold on them)

Without any staff watching, I can leisurely browse 😆
Selecting, calculating prices, and checking out, all by myself!
(But there are still cameras in the store)

In the end, I chose original grape, matcha red bean, and taro milk flavors.
The matcha and taro flavors were so distinct they were a bit strange, while the original flavor was relatively normal. However, it wasn't the kind of lumber bread from my memories that became more fragrant the more you chewed; in terms of texture, it was quite similar.

Considering the convenience of being unstaffed and self-service, I think it’s pretty good!

Original flavor grape! It has a nostalgic texture and taste, but it doesn't have the wood bread feeling that becomes more fragrant the more you chew, like in my memories…
When peeling, the taro layer and the milk layer will separate. The taro has a distinct taro aroma (which feels a bit unnatural), while the milk layer does not have a very noticeable flavor. However, I didn't buy the taro flavor this time, so I'm not quite sure what the difference is between the two.
Strawberry flavor! In the end, I didn't buy it. If you look closely at the one in the middle, you can see what looks like a gray moldy spot... I initially wanted to pick it, but then I gave up on the whole row, so I didn't buy it.
Taro flavor! Compared to taro milk, the layers of taro look quite different.
Chocolate milk flavor (somehow looks very soothing)
Chocolate flavor
On the left is milk crisp, and on the right is milk crisp with grapes.
Original flavor, red bean, and matcha red bean. The red beans in the matcha red bean feel like there are quite a lot of them, but the matcha also has a somewhat unnatural aroma.

The small wooden block looks a bit like a smaller version of a steamed bun, but it feels somewhat different.
There is also a shelf next to it, but it looks out of stock, and I'm not sure what kind of bread was originally placed there. The sign next to it says "Mixed, Chocolate Balls, Milk Cream Balls."
The store also has price tags. You can choose to pay with Street Corner Payment or ipassmoney!
There is also a price list on the glass door at the entrance!
You can also donate cash; the cash goes into the small box on the right! However, there are no staff members, so there is no way to get change!
